We have been listening to Tyler for 3 years now and have seen him live on his Chromakopia tour, so that’s why we found interest in doing this article on his music. Both of our favorite albums are Igor. Jesse’s favorite song by Tyler is Answer and Christians is Puppet. This piece is just our opinion not a verdict. Feel free to forge your own opinion on Tyler’s music and what you like. We will be abbreviating Call Me If You Get Lost to CMIYGL, Call Me If You Get Lost The Estate Sale to CMIYGLTES and we will be changing Dont Tap The Glass to DTTG
Odd Future/Bastard
Odd Future was a rap group that Tyler was the leader of. This group was also rap focused and dropped two official studio albums. They got a lot of recognition for the song Oldie which is a rap song consisting of all 8 members rapping and many more making the beats and other things. As for Bastard this was his mixtape before he released Goblin there is not much to say about this mixtape but it’s relatively the same as Goblin.

Odd Future group
Goblin
Goblin was a very important part of his career because it was his first album besides his mixtapes. This really showed who Tyler was and what type of music he was making. This was already introduced in Odd Future but was expanded on in this album. The best Song on this album is She featuring Frank Ocean, the best production on a song on this album is Yonkers, these two songs still manage to be on the top ten most listened to songs on Tyler’s discography. For best rap performance I think it would go to Yonkers again. For the worst song we think it would be just really any of the other songs we didn’t name besides Tron Cat and Window. Overall this album was a very important part of his career but was not really a good album, we give it a 2/10.

Don’t Tap The Glass
Don’t tap the glass is Tyler’s newest album, it was released this summer and following the release of Chromakopia expectations were set high. Tyler’s only other album released in the summer was Call Me If You Get Lost, one of his greatest albums. On Don’t Tap The Glass however he went a different direction then call me if you get lost. This album focuses more on dancy beats and catchy lyrics. None of the songs had emotional ties like Chromakopia and none had the greatest lyricism like Call Me If You Get Lost.. This was a fun dance album, nothing crazy and besides the first listen didn’t stick out much. Overall I’d give this album a 4/10. Some tracks were decent but most were just okay. The best track on this album is Ring Ring Ring by far, it just was different in a little way which made it better. The best rap performance was on mommanem and the best production was on I’ll Take Care Of You. In our opinion the worst song is Tell Me What It Is. Don’t Tap The Glass is a fun first listen but nothing monumental like his other albums.

Cherry Bomb
Cherry Bomb has a more rugged sound. Following the release of Wolf, one of Tyler’s best story albums, Cherry Bomb sounds free and without direction. This album had no story. The first listen on this album was not all that enjoyable but some songs were good. The best rap song on this album was Smuckers featuring Lil Wayne and Kanye West, this song was mesmerizing at first lesson and every other listen. The best production was on the song F**king young / Perfect featuring Charlie Wilson, Chaz Bundick, Syd Bennett and Kali Uchis. The worst song on this album was the title track Cherry Bomb. Overall this album is a decent 5/10 some songs were memorable and it was a step to show where Tyler would go over his career.

Call Me If You Get Lost
CMIYGL is Tyler’s first summer album. The story focuses on Tyler (Sir Tyler Baudelaire) traveling the world on a path of self discovery. This album focuses on Tyler’s rapping skills and is his best rap album. Only a few of the tracks were weak but this problem is solved when the deluxe edition comes out. The best rap song on this album is WILLSHIRE the lyrics go deep and it’s 8 minutes of Tyler’s straight lyricism. The best produced song on this album is SWEET/I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE featuring Brent Faiyaz. This is one of Tyler’s 2 part songs where it switches halfway through the song. The worst song on this album is MOMMA TALK as it’s just Tyler’s mom talking and is not much of a song. Overall this album is a 6.9/10. It’s practically as good as Wolf but Wolf has some tracks we prefer. This album is a great listen and is one of Tyler’s best rap performances ever.

Wolf
Wolf is one of Tyler’s most complex albums storywise. Instead of the dark tone of Goblin, Wolf had more complex production and it looked like it had more thought put into it. It influenced his production for a lot for his future songs and albums. This is a heavily focused rap album like most of his albums are. In our opinion we think the best song on this album is Answer, although Tyler’s best rap performance was on the song Colossus. Our least favorite song / what we think is the worst is Trashwang. In our opinion the best production on this album was from a song titled IFHY featuring Pharrell Williams, Pharrell is a phenomenal producer who has produced songs like Alright by Kendrick Lamar and Drop It Like It’s Hot By Snoop Dogg. That’s most likely why it’s such a good beat. We will give this album a 7/10, we decided on this because this album is still great but his other albums are still better.

Chromakopia
Chromakopia is Tyler’s second newest album he dropped in October of 2024. Chromakopia has a big range of songs from saying anything he wants on rah tah tah to emotional songs about his father, in Like Him. This album is one of Tyler’s greatest works. We were hyped for this album right after the first teaser dropped. He focused more on his vocals instead of his normal rapping style. It was a different experience than Call Me If You Get Lost. Listening to this album felt like listening to Wolf for the first time in a way. Our favorite song on this album is Judge Judy Tyler’s singing on this song is really good and the beat is great too. His best rapping on this album is on thought I was dead the lyricism and rhymes on this song are great (This song swears A TON so if you’re sensitive to that don’t listen). In our opinion the best production in a song on the album is on Like Him. This song is emotional because it’s about Tyler’s father who left him when he was a child. By far the worst song is I Killed You, this song does not hit as well as the other songs on this album. Overall we rate this album an 8/10,we rated Chromakopia an 8 because the songs are quite catchy but the lyrics are still deep. The only thing holding this album back was a couple of the songs weren’t as good. As of writing this Tyler dropped Chromatopia +. This album includes one extra song that was on the vinyl and cd. The song is titled Mother, in our opinion this song is very good, we can’t decide if it’s the best song on the album or not. Overall this just makes the album better so now it’s a 8.3/10.

Flower Boy
Flower boy was a huge step up from Cherry Bomb in all ways. Tyler finally started finding his new style of production and started to sharpen it. This album also has Tyler’s biggest song, See You Again featuring Kali Uchis. This album has a wide mix of Hip Hop and Rap. In our opinion the best song on this album is 911/Mr. Lonely featuring Frank Ocean and Steve Lacy, this song is a mix of pop and rap which makes this song become a masterpiece. For us the best production on a song is Boredom, and the best rap performance on a song on this album is Foreword. The worst song on this album in our opinion is I Ain’t Got Time; it just doesn’t hit as good as the other songs. Overall this album deserves a 8.7/10. This album was such a turning point for Tyler’s career.

Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale
CMIYGLTES is the deluxe version of Call Me If You Get Lost. CMIYGLTES added 8 new songs and all the songs were absolutely amazing. Each song had a story and direction. The lyricism from this deluxe was amazing. The best song on this album is SORRY NOT SORRY. Sorry Not Sorry follows Tyler through all his eras and apologizes to everyone who he did wrong throughout his life. The best rap song on this album is DOGTOOTH as the lyrics flow well and the lyricism is great. The best production on this album is WHARF TALK featuring A$AP Rocky. The worst song on this album is HEAVEN TO ME as the song is good but the others are just better. Overall this album is a solid 9.5/10 and is his best rap performance ever.

Igor
Igor marks Tyler’s perfection in his story telling, production, and music. Flower boy was a step in the right direction of where Tyler was going with his overall production of music in the future. This album is less focused on rap and mainly focused on singing and increasing skills in production. In our opinion the best song on this album is overall puppet, we think this because Tyler’s singing and production is great on this song. Meanwhile if you like a more rap focused song on this album we would suggest New Magic Wand, for the best production that would go to Gone Gone/Thank You, this song has amazing production and the beat is mesmerizing. In our opinion the worst song on this album is I Don’t Love You Anymore, this song is still quite good but it’s just not as much of a banger as the other songs. Overall we give this album a 10/10. The beats on this album are so good, the story is just perfect, and the lyricism is just amazing.
