“Uh-uh Uh-uh Uh-uh Uh-uh Stop playing with em riot.” As soon as Ice Spice said that iconic line, we knew the concert would be amazing. Us and our friends waited for this night for months and couldn’t wait to see Ice Spice. We watched Ice Spice perform at the Fox Theater in Oakland on August 21st.
When we opened the doors to the Fox Theater, we saw flashing lights and a man with an ice spice wig with booty shorts, and a crop top. He was slaying the night away and was one of the best dressed at the concert(besides us). We wore baggy jeans and white shirts that we wrote “WE HEART ICE SPICE” on, we also added other drawings and lyrics of her songs on the shirts.
We made our way to the floor spots and tried to make our way to the front of the stage. As we were going to the front we got separated from each other, the two of us were moved up to the back while Junko and Violet got moved more towards the front, luckily these two girls helped us move up to them. For about an hour they were DJing and playing a lot of songs, everyone was waiting for Ice Spice’s opener; Cash Cobain. Cash Cobain is a rap artist, he was playing for about one hour. Almost everyone was getting tired of him and complaining about how Ice Spice wasn’t on stage yet, even after Cash Cobain was done they started playing music and ads for about an hour too.
After all of that music, Ice Spice finally came out. The whole crowd started screaming. Her opening song was “Popa”. Here is a ranking of the concert setlist and what we think of the songs:

Ice spice matched our expectations and more. We went into the concert thinking it would be fun but didn’t know that we would almost lose our voices at the end. We made so many friends through this experience and had so much fun doing so. This was a great experience and will cherish these memories forever.
