P!NK Concert Review

P%21NK+Concert+Review

“ Who’s here to see P!nk!!” KIDCUTUP shouted to the crowd. On Saturday Oct. 14 and Sunday Oct. 15, P!nk performed in San Francisco at the Chase Center. The performance was part of her 2023 TRUST FALL Tour.

Her two opening acts were KIDCUTUP and Group Love, they each performed for about 45 minutes. KIDCUTUP got everyone dancing around to remixes of different songs by Beyonce, Luke Combs, Bruno Mars, and many others. Group love played some of their most popular songs including Tongue Tied.

When the concert started, P!nk bungee jumped through a giant mouth that was over the stage. Later in the concert she had many dancers in giant lip costumes dance around the stage.  She bounced around the stage and over the crowd to “Get the party started.” She got everyone jumping and screaming the lyrics. She has many dance numbers and acrobatic acts throughout the show. P!nk had fun interactions during the entire show with fans and some of her bandmates. At one point they gave her Twizzlers and Redvines, Twizzlers are made in   Lancaster Pennsylvania. P!nk is from Pennsylvania so she picked the Twizzlers as a tribute to her home state.

P!nk has a tradition with her pianist; during each show he plays one of her older songs on the piano. If she guesses it right, she gets candy. While P!nk was singing, she was eating the candy she received and almost choked but recovered quickly to continue to finish the song. P!nk says that getting candy on stage is her favorite because she doesn’t have to hide it from her kids.

The beginning of her concert was fun and loud, she performed her upbeat songs like, Raise Your Glass, Just Like a Pill, and Try. After the energy of the beginning, she slowed things down a bit while two dancers performed to the song. She also told an emotional story about her dad’s death. She was doing a tapping meditation (A meditation where you tap certain pressure points) in her house and all the windows and doors were open. She heard a loud commotion and looked up to see a giant hawk and knew it was her father. She shared that her dad wanted to be a bird of flight when he died because he was a pilot. Then she performed an emotional song about her dad Jim Moore.

Closing out the show, P!nk got into a harness that would fly around and over the crowd. She waved and spun in the air while singing the song “So What!” overall we would rate the concert a 8/10. It was a good mix of mellow and fun. We thought it got a bit too slow for a while, but it was still entertaining. P!nk definitely puts on a good show and we would definitely recommend you see her.
